We measured ultraviolet photoelectron spectra, Penning ionization electron spectra, and collision energy dependence of partial ionization cross sections of maleic anhydride and succinic anhydride.
These results show that the interaction between an acid anhydride molecule and He* is attractive around oxygen lone pair.
This attractive interaction and band intensity of Penning ionization electron spectra are useful information on assigning ultraviolet photoelectron spectra.
